The atmosphere and staff is fantastic. The restaurant is small, but has outside seating with patio heating. The food is affordable and delicious! We've been a few times now, and I think it's going to be a new regular spot for me. It's nice that there is no service, forcing people to be present. Portion sizes are huge!

Wanted an adventure to escape the Portland summer heat and stumbled on reviews for this outpost along the quiet roads along the Nustucca River and decided to make it my destination. Came out to eat here and check out Oregon's Niagara Falls trail. It was the right choice. The food is great and the service is friendly and warm. We had cheeseburgers for dinner and biscuits and gravy for breakfast! "These are just so good; I can't even handle it!" Says my son. What a cool hidden gem! I will be back.

The food was amazing with very large servings. The service was excellent. When we arrived, they were very busy, but still made sure we received water and a menu. Our order was taken quickly and the food arrived in a timely manner. It was fresh and hot. There is either indoor or outdoor seating. We sat outside and it was very quiet. We had a nice visit and enjoyed our evening very much!

Excellent food. Large portions. Everything cooked fresh. So peaceful. Run by an amazing family. Cookies hot out of the oven when we arrived; I must say they were the best cookies I have ever eaten. Chocolate chip carmel. Ordered Cobb salad and the Holy Bible Breakfast? Also biscuits and gravy. All were excellent! Great service; clean restrooms too Indoor and outdoor seating. Check out my photos. Even though it is a ways there, it is a beautiful drive. You will not be disappointed.

Definitely a destination cafe. Beautiful drive. Lovely place with excellent service and food. Professional staff. A real treasure of a find that has been discovered.

This place is the absolute epitome of hole in the wall. A beautifully brand new building, that's a little slice of paradise in the middle of the woods. The staff were very attentive and friendly to me and my developmentally disabled friend that was with me. The food was delicious of fresh. We sat at the bar, which was heated and EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE. We ended our meals with a shake and some very large cookies to go. Can't wait to go back and make this a regular spot for us to visit.

Full espresso bar, full food menu. Grandmas home cooking but not greasy and with a modern spin. Clean, friendly, well-staffed and affordable. Have some biscuits and gravy and converse over picture books with generations of locals. The outpost is not only a place to eat upriver, but a destination. It's everything I never thought I could get in the woods.
